puttina a 454 into my 85
my 85 came with a v6 that i'm swapping it for a 454/400 out of my blazer, the thing is my c10 has a computer in it and the 77 doesn't, could i put in the 454 in with out having to use the computer?

Depends upon your smog check laws.
Sure it will work and run just like in the Blazer but it won't have the smog equipment to pass a tail pipe test to meet the 85 model year requirements. If you don't have smog to worry about it is an easy swap. That is why I sold my newer truck and got my 78. No more mandatory must pass or no registration smog checks to worry about. |

it's supposed to pass smog, but i'm not worried about it. so i should be good then. besides i'll just be driving it while i finish putting in my 5.3 into the blazer. i'll try to get pics while i take the engines out of each truck.
