Ok, opinions please!

Aside from the servere wrinkle by the headlight bezel, there is some through rust on the bottom, right behind where the bumper would be.

Seeing your with me in the rust belt I think I would price what a new one cost I think they are around 225 or less they will be a heck of alot lighter steel keep that in mind I would get new ones but what are youplans for this truck show of work ??

A new one costs from 125 to 150. Unless you have a lot of free time to burn, buy a new one. See GMC pauls new line, they appear to first rate, much better than the old repops, and at 150 clams, well worth it. There is a thread entitled zinc coated fenders, within the last day or two. Read up.

Judging from the paint, if the rest of the truck looks as nice, I would not save the fender. Not because of the rust, but because of the dent. It appears that yopu would have to pull the bottom of the fender forward to get the wrinkle out. We have a fender that was damaged like that and the body shop guy fixed it but could not ever make it look right.

I have not tried any of his new fenders, but GMC Paul has a new line of fenders that sound really good and they are $149 for the 68-72, ($159 for the 67's). Of course this is US dollars.

72mario, planning a frame up, for a summer driver... too much road salt around here in the winter... doubt if it'll ever be a show truck, 'cept maybe the local rally type things...

Thanx to all for you ops, think I'll probably look to replace it.

Cool The prices I gave you are in Can dollars. When you go to get the aftermarket fenders tell the guys that you want the best ones. there is some real Crap out there!

my truck came with the exact same type of dent. Someone had attempted to pull it, but the factory shape has a compound bend already. Making it almost impossible to fix. I have since found another fender without dents, but not without rust.

if you goto GM you can still buy some original fenders I think for under $300. atleast I was told that a dealer around here still had originals. justa thought. could have beenfed a line of BS..
