Vintage Air Heater Shut off Valve Placement
Because I had a custom coil put in my vintage Air surfeit system so that I could Shave my firewall I have to figure a way to make my heater valve work. I have two option that I can figure. One is to have the valve right by the Unit itself in the cab, in-between the unit and the bulkhead that goes through the fire wall I have 12” of hose I could tap into. In that location I can use the vintage air cable by cutting it down a bit. The second spot would be underneath the battery tray, I would use a 9’ choke cable I have to make that location work. I am leaning towards the in cab option but wanted to see if you guys had any opinions.

Re: Vintage Air Heater Shut off Valve Placement
I personally like the option under the hood as water valves sometimes leak and then it would not be in the cab.

Re: Vintage Air Heater Shut off Valve Placement
I put mine underdash as you spoke about. I used a longer hose and did some looping around under there but it went well. its tight but it works. I did not want to have the cable that long. Gary
