Heater core problem?

After I shut the truck off today I noticed a little bit of water under the heater core. I did run the a/c today, and just got it working again two weeks ago, so i'm not used to where from and how much the a/c drips. Is it normal to get a little water from under the big box on the firewall? I know a/c does normally drip. I'm questioning wether I should carry around some vice grips and a jug of water (will anyway)

Re: Heater core problem?

Every vehicle ever made drips after running the A/C... that just means it's working! Start to worry if it is antifreeze.

Re: Heater core problem?

Yeah, I just didn't know if it would come out of that box. It's clear water. Thanks

Re: Heater core problem?

I think there is a drain on the A/C trucks. It should not be just souping out of the box. Check exactly where it is originating from, and if you can see that drain tube that dumps to the ground. It may be clogged.
