Re: drop spindles

Several of the board supporting vendors offer a 2.5" drop spindle, and they will be more than happy to help out a fellow board member.

On my truck we just installed a set of ECE (Early Classic Enterprises) 2.5" drop spindles, and they are some great products. What are the plans for your truck?

Re: drop spindles

My spindles are made by Western Suspension, USA. They are great, no complaints here.

Re: drop spindles

Where you are is just down the road from Tim Christian. He has a store and can set you up with spindles. You do need to know where his place is since shipping on spindles may be a deal killer.I used a set of McGagheys(sp) from him and am very happy with the result. He not only sells parts but builds trucks and will only carry the best quality he can get since it may go on one of his trucks and there's no money in solving customer service problems.

Re: drop spindles

I bought a set from http://www.airbagit.com/, they are 3" drop for 73-87 with 1.25" rotors. They say you have to switch ball joints and tie rod ends to get them to work, I test fitted one and the ball joints fit just fine (71 c 10), but the stock tie rod ends are way to small. I have an 85 parts truck for the rotors and calipers etc, and am going to use the steering box, centerlink, inner and outer tie rod ends and idler arm from that truck to complete the swap. Oh by the way, they had an ad on ebay, I called them to make sure I got what I wanted, and them shipped them to my door for $175.00 shipping included!

Re: drop spindles

Glad to hear you made your choice, just be sure to post some pics of the new items.

And yes, I said items... you know you won't leave there without buying more than just spindles.
