Are the doors the same?

I came across tons of bondo on my driver and my pass door is jacked. I don't want to mess with the bondo or the huge dents on them, and found 2 new doors from an 80 quad cab dually. The front doors look like they would fit my 84, but I wanted to be sure b4 I drove 70 miles to buy them. Can anyone confirm?

Re: Are the doors the same?

yes they will work, to use your 84 door panels you'll need to swap the interior door panels

Re: Are the doors the same?

ok, just want to make sure, but are the doors and fenders on the 73-87 suburban the same as the 84 trucks? I think they are with the exception of the placement of the marker light on the fender, but want to confirm.

Re: Are the doors the same?

That is what I thought, but wanted someone else to confirm before I purchased them. Wish the PO did not cover the panels completely with filler...

Re: Are the doors the same?

nice, I have been talking with the guy with the work truck bed, but found a set of suburban doors near my work in OC that are power like mine. I don't want to mess with swapping the insides if I don't have to. Wish I would have saw that clip b4 I bought my passengers stuff last weekend. When done, I wil have replaced everything except for the cab...

Nice ride! What air system are you runnin? I am working on that too, need to get a tank and get everything wired up, just on scraders now.

Re: Are the doors the same?

Nice! I think the 4/6 was what was on mine b4 I tore it out and replaced with bags. It was a bit stiff for me, so hopefully the bags ride smoother.

Re: Are the doors the same?

Any pics of your rig ?

As of now I have the 3'' spindle, and a flip kits coming...When I get that installed I will see about the additional drop to the front via coils and shackles out back.

Here is a pic of it a few weeks ago. I still have to replace all the panels and finish the bag setup, but it is coming along. It is not my daily, so I can take my time
