Re: plastic bed

Good question, i was thinking aobut doing the exact same thing with the composite bed wood. It seems like it would hold up awesome and it comes in good colors.

Re: plastic bed

I know when you build a deck with it you have to go from 2'o.c to 16"o.c. Seems like it would be to thick also?

Re: plastic bed

Does anyone have pics of a plastic bed or composite or any other material other than wood? I've wondered about this but never seen anybody post anything.

Re: plastic bed

There is someone on here that did that but I can't remember his name. It's a black step side with stainless strips. He had to route the boards and add some strips. He was talkin about adding some heatshields so the composite boards wouldn't melt.

Re: plastic bed

I think some brands are 5/8" thick. It's also used as fencing boards. That stuffs not cheap. I think I would go with real wood.
