Air Ride and Driveshaft Advice

Advice needed please.

Did a brief search for this topic - but didn't have much luck.

72, LWB C10.

What type of driveshafts are you guys using with the ART Cool Ride rear setup: original 2-piece or a 1-piece?

Initially I thought a 1-piece was the only route to go, given the new ART crossmember - however my driveshaft guy gave me a some grief regarding strength/rpms to cover that distance (69 5/16")...said it wasn't a huge issue, but did tack on a bit more to price for 3 1/2 steel, balancing, etc. Which led to my thinking about the two piece option - i'm assuming i would need to fab something to the ART crossmember for the union of the two?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You might contact AirRide and see what their thoughts are on the subject. I'm sure they have already thought of something. I would think a two piece would be better.

Re: Air Ride and Driveshaft Advice

Thanks. Did just that, they recommended a 1 piece - so that's the route i went: 3 1/2 steel.

He also confirmed the concerns my drive shaft guy had.
