What does a bare cab weight typically? Trying to figure if I need to swap out my drop springs back to stock to carry a truck cab in my long bed

Re: bare cab weight
If you leave the doors on, my shipping quote said the they were 110lbs each. Or UPS was lying to get more $$

Re: bare cab weight
With front and rear glass, part of a heater box, and a VIN plate, the scales at my scrap yard said just shy of 500 pounds. Solid floors, rotted corners and inner/outer rockers.

!
Lots of times cheaper to rent them at local daily rate...but you have to tow it both directions so fuel mileage comes into play. I have a completely bare cab in my shop and can easily move it around by myself, I would guess it around 300 lbs max. Have seen them hauled in back of these trucks in other threads but they look to be a very tight fit!

It's 18 bux for a 5x7 trailer. I have to fix my trailer wiring hook up, and throw a ball on the bumper, but thats it. Last edited by texanidiot25; 08-28-2009 at 03:58 AM. |
