I am diong alot of work to my cab this week and I was looking at the light in the cab. Just wondeing if you guys have any I deas on what other lights would work nicely. Thinking of somthin from a newer car or truck just not sure how they would fit because they may have a grove for the head liner in them .?????? Help I dont know how are lights that are stock perform

I have thought about how to create a lighting effect in my truck, too. What I have thought of, may also have been thought of by others, but I haven't seen this idea in print, or on the board.

We know that there is an option to install trim and a headliner in the recessed area of the cab roof. What I propose is to suspend the headliner and have neon lighting in the space between the headliner and the roof. This would create a ring of light around the perimeter of the headliner and softly illuminate the cab. The switch could be wired to operate the light when the door is opened or when switched on.

You asked and this is my 2-cents worth. If you like it, I'm glad. If not, someone else may have one you do like.

I plan on leaving that light alone, but installing lights under the dash, and one under the seat in the center also. That way the floor is lit up great, and the light from overhead should be just about sufficiant.

I know that Chevy Duty and LMC both sell kits for lights under the dash, it includes the door switches. Seemed pretty Reasonably priced too. I'm sure that Wes can probably take care of you on the kit also.
