Adapt pre 70's steering wheel on 70's tilt column
I would love to use a early-mid 60's chevelle, bell air, etc, steering wheel on my 75 c10 tilt column.
The problem is that, AFAIK, the wheel's center is narrower than that of the column Column: 3-1/2" diamater Sterring wheel center: 3-1/4" diamater Is there a way to adapt these steering wheels, or are there some that would fit (and not look awkward)? Thanks folks. -Pete |

Re: Adapt pre 70's steering wheel on 70's tilt column
Have you looked at Grant or similar "one size fits all" aftermarket steering column stuff? I seem to recall that in the 70's they made a number of adapter "cups" to fit between their wheels and the stock columns.
