Who sells a quality billet wheel adapter? I know everyone has their own opinion on these things but I just picked up a set of 20’s for $240 (one wheel has a defect in the chrome…still looks fine) Anyway I need to push the wheel out an additional ¾ -1” to make them fit in the rear.

I'm subscribing to this,... because I may need a set of spacers/adapters myself.
(I've never been a fan of them,... but I also have a cheap set of wheels I'd like to use)

I'd also like to know which ones to avoid. I know there are some that are better than others.
Anyone?

Yes the search button does work... very well in fact if someone was searching “wheel adapters” a thread that is titles “wheel spacer questions” may not come up with-in the firsts five or so pages of search results. All I wanted was a reputable vendor link not a 45 min search to find one.

Yes I know the names are different, but technically you are looking for spacers. Not trying to give you a hard time, just wish more people would use search. If they did we would have less crap to search through. So a 45 min search could actually only take 15 min.

Not to pick nits here, but you asked about wheel "adapters", not spacers. Which one are you looking for?

Do the wheels you purchased have the wrong bolt pattern, or incorrect back space?

I am looking for a 1’ adapter 6 lug to 6 lug to correct my backspacing. I would never use a spacer more than about a 1/4” in thickness, besides any thicker of a spacer and you would need longer wheel studs etc. So yes I am looking for a wheel adapter.

Here is the guy I used. Very nice guy to work with and he is the one that makes them when you order. They are not cheap. I ordered them early in the day and called to make sure he got the payment and he was already making them.

That is still a spacer though. You aren't correcting your bolt pattern. A spacer can be made thicker then 1/4" and still be safe. It just uses the existing studs and has another set of studs in it with the same bolt pattern. An adapter would change the bolt pattern from say a 5x5 to a 5x5.75.

My bad…I was always under the impression that a spacer just slipped over your existing wheel studs and an adapter bolted to you existing studs and provided an additional set of studs, regardless of the bolt pattern. Thanks for the information

I've got 2.5" spacers that go 5.75 to 5.75 from Ebay for the rear of my truck. 3 years now. Good quality.

Got my 2" from Whalen Tire here in Missoula. Of course I was the custom wheel and tire guy there at the time. Don't think anyone there now would even try to look. They came from a company called Wheel 1 Warehouse out of Boise. Not sure on the price as my rep comp'd em to me to get me to try a set of spinners on the 20's they had hooked me up with and were needed to clear the spindle dust cover.
