Side saddle gas tank question
This has probably been discussed a hundred times on here, but I can't find any info doing a search on it.
Has anyone every successfully installed a '73-up side saddle tank on a 67-72? Or know of some other stock tank that'll fit neatly up in there? I'd like to install some side tanks but originals are getting rusty/crusty and hard to come by.

Re: Side saddle gas tank question
The`72-up fuel tanks mount partly up under the cab.The floor under the seat is humped up to accommodate the tank(s).i`d think someone would have some aftermarket tanks to sell.

Re: Side saddle gas tank question
Yeah, my dad has an '83 truck. I took a tape measure over and did some rough figgerin' on his and it looks like a job, but wondered if anybody had done it.
I'll poke around and see if there are any aftermarkets.

Re: Side saddle gas tank question
I still use one of my original side tanks. I think there was a guy not too long ago that removed a set of them. I'd put a WTB add in the parts section and see what turns up. Get a West Coast or S.W. one, probly best bet.
