repair panels

Hey guys, I need to buy some repair panels for my 72 GMC. I need cab corners, rockers, door skins, etc. Where is the best place to buy so that the panels actually fit, but that won't cost me a fortune either? I have an LMC catalog and have looked at Golden State as well. Any pointers? Thanks for you help!

Re: repair panels

www.classicparts.com also has a variety of parts with reasonable prices.

Re: repair panels

Here is a site for your repair panels http://www.classicparts.com/default.asp
They used to be called Chevy Duty, they have nice parts and are reasonably priced. I bought all the cab panels I needed for my truck, but they were out of stock on one of the cab corners...so since I was in KC anyhow, I thought I would just drive over to LMC and get that one cab corner. Well when I got home, I unbagged my new parts to be sadly disappointed by the quality of the LMC cab corner. It was not shapped right, and had a wrinkle in the outerskin just below the body seam. I have since ordered a replacement from Classic Parts. I will try to get pics of the two side by side and let you be the judge, hopefully will post them first part of the week.

(did not pay that much attention...yeah, the guys jbemt31 recommended...lol)

Re: repair panels

Personally, in the KC area, you can't go wrong with stopping by Mane's Truck Parts just to the east of kansas city by 10-15 miles in Odessa, MO. He has been around since the 80's and has new and used parts. He also carries some of the finer quality patch panels that many others carry, but knows what to stock compared to some cheaper patch panels. I try to hit him up before moving to Classic Parts. Classic parts are good for certain decals and other small restoration parts that a lot of truck part outfits don't carry.
