4x4 power steering question

i am wondering if anyone knows what the difference between 2 and 4 wheel drive power steering set ups. i know where i can get a 2 wheel drive gearbox cheap, will this work and how much would the pump set up cost? anyone got any answers?

The 4x4 boxes have a thicker pitmam shaft and the pitman arm is different.

Also, the 4x4 box turns in the other direction (I think). Pump should be the same.

Difference is in the steering gearbox itself. The 4wd moves the pitman arm front to rear while the 2wd moves the pitman arm side to side. Thats the reason guys switch to a 2wd box when they install crossover steering setups. You need a 4wd box for conventional 4wd use. Trukman1
