My new guages
I got my guages put in last week. Autometer Ultra Lites. I figured I'd try the silver dash to match, but I don't like it, so I'm going to paint it black again, but haven't had time yet.
I'm going to look into getting a silver overlay for the speedo too match. I used some green lights from radio shack for the turn signals, and some really small lights for the dummy lights and bright lights indicator.

When you put your bexel back to black, try just painting your speedo and fuel guage to match the aftermarket ones. It'll look good I think.
Some one else did theres in silver and it looked nice, and I've done mone in white, and I think it looks sharp. |

I have a 5" tach in the place of fuel gauge, and the fuel gauge is in the "empty spot next to the oil pressure.

Hey Ackattack, what fuel gauge did you use for your's? Is there a particular gauge you need for our sending units??
That is a great idea for that spot, the fual gauge we have is far too large!!! Thanks

autometer part number 4314. 0 - 90 ohm is what ours uses. I had the sending unit out a few weeks ago and varified that is what it is.

You did the swap out on the rest of the gauges, why not just buy the Autometer Speedometer too. It looks a bit lopsided without it.

Well I may switch to a LT1/4L60E setup, which would require an electric speedo which costs $200, plus to use it now, I'd need a sending unit which is another $26. So basically I didn't want to spend that much right now.

I saw the black speedo in there and din't even notice the fuel guage being moved and silver.
