i am replacing the ft. drums and the piece that holds the bearings comes off with the drum it is rivittit to the drum. do they sale bolts to replace the rivitts? thanks for any help.

I've had to replace front drums too, just grind the rivets off and punch them out and leave them out. The new drums will fit on the hub just fine, no rivets are required,and the wheel will hold it tight, just like the back brake. I think you can spin the drum so the old rivet holes are covered to keep the dirt out.

Any bolt in there may hit the brakes on the inside and hit the wheel on the outside. I have had to remove the rivets to get some aftermarket wheels to fit because they were flat where the rivets come out and hit the wheel.

if your drums are still good, then hold onto them.
The replacement drums are pretty much junk.

.with Andy. See if you can get your original drums turned. I had mine done at NAPA and it was 8 bucks per drum a couple of years ago. Been working great since.

thanks guys you were a big help. my 41 year old drums are toast. i am replacing my stud bolts for after market wheels also . the wheels are a little ticker than stock. thanks again bill
