350 air cleaner question

i have a 72 with a 350. i was looking to put a new air cleaner on it, but was wondering what this would involve. my main question was about the vaccume tube that goes to the choke.(4bbl rochester) any thoughts?

Re: 350 air cleaner question

also, what is the little sensor in the neck of the original air cleaner for? is it some kind of airflow sensor for the choke? and what about the one inside of the filter on the base of the body that has AC for acdelco on it? are they all just for the choke?

Re: 350 air cleaner question

Just replaced the Carter on my Dodge with a Holley. I have those "air sensors" that had little vacuum lines running from them. Also have the little disc looking thing in the bottom of the cleaner housing. I disconnected all of it and plugged any lines that needed plugged. I think they have something to do with emissions. No smog checks in Illinois though so I don't really care.
