3-Speed Floor Shifter
Greetings,
We have a 3-speed-on-the-tree. What a pain! The lower bearing is adusted in as much as possible without more metal work to the slots. So we are considering installing a floor shifter. Is this one any good? Amazon.com: Spectre 6413 3-Speed Manual Shifter... Thanks for the input, MrBlue

Re: 3-Speed Floor Shifter
Not a good shifter. Spectre is super light duty. I had the same trouble with my 3 speed column shifter so I bought a Mr. Gasket shifter with an 18" shifter handle on it to clear my bench seat in my 67 gmc. Works excellently. I'd had one before in another truck so I new it would work great. I bought mine from ebay. If you search on ebay look for Mr. Gasket shifters. Mine was 39.95 from mxiliquadators. Part # 7667 or 7667A. It was new in the box. Prices vary on there. They were cheapest by a bunch. Other shifters are also made by Hurst but way more expensive. Around 300 bucks. What year of truck are you putting it in. Tranny change in 69 I think. If it's synchro in first it's the newer saginaw tranny. This shifter will still work. Let us know your truck specs.
