Well found 2 new sets of headers in the classifieds a set of new painted flowtechs for 110 canadian of course that are 20 minutes away or a set of hedman ceramic coated ones they are new also but no hardware for 200 but they are 2 hours away , I know which set will look better but is it worth the extra money and the drive to get them,What you guys think

The ceramic coated ones are only worth it if you know they will fit perfectly without any modifications.

I have only had a couple pairs of headers that fit perfectly right out of the box. Most have needed some massaging to work, some major surgery.

I say get the painted ones close to home, get them on the truck and fitting properly then send them to somebody to get them coated.

I send mine to Jet Hot and they have done a great job. There are other companies all over the place that probably do a great job too and might be one close to home that you can use.

It doesn't cost much more than the difference between the cost of the two sets you are looking at. Nothing looks worse than a beat up set of coated tubes.

I had a set of Flowtech headers on my last truck and they fit great, but the collector flanges and head flanges were not very flat. I would tell you to go look at them (only 20 minutes) and see if this is the case with them too. If not, go for it. If so, keep driving and get the Hedman's. Hedman's quality control is suppose to be stellar, and if they are new and already coated, you will be well ahead of the game. Ask the guy to meet you part of the way...you never know unless you ask.
