71/72 4wd brake line differences
I am looking at buying brake lines for my restoration, and looking at the different kits I notice that 71 and 72 have different prices and part numbers. My frame is a 72 I think?? How can I tell and why is it different than a 71? I know its one or the other because it came with disc fronts.
Thanks! |

Re: 71/72 4wd brake line differences
The only way that I can think of right now is where the front diff. vent hose is attached to the frame. The 71 attaches at the front crossmember and the 72 attaches at the right frame rail. I don't recall seeing a difference in the actual hardlines but there is a little difference in how the e brake intermediate cable is attached on the right frame rail. There is a plate that the support rod attaches to that is found only on a 71 frame and does not exist on the 72 frame. The hard lines should be the same.
