If I remember correctly, a member on here purchased a kit from here http://www.blackbirdscustomtrucks.com/ he had a good experience with his kit.

I believe they use stock pads, etc from other vehicles. I'd love to swap my 14 bolt to discs, those drums weigh like 50lbs each don't they?!

the blackbirds kit is what i got... i am very happy with the looks, cost, and the fact that everything is factory GM. very good and stand up guy to deal with too. dont know about the performance yet but its gotta be better right??

too bad that search isnt working for ya. theres a ton of info and things you should know and take into consideration depending on budget and expectations...

Re: if you had rear drum brakes, and wanted rear disc..

Do you just want to add rear discs, or do you want bigger than stock?

There are several kits out there that offer a mounting bracket to put a single piston caliper on a standard 11.50-12.00 rotor. If you want to step up to a 13" rotor the price starts to climb.

Here's a couple posts on the subject-

McGaughys rear big brake kit arrived

Re: if you had rear drum brakes, and wanted rear disc..

I did mine with 1995 Dodge 1/2 ton 4X4 front rotors that I redrilled, stock front calipers, pads, rubber brake lines & Speedway Motors weld-on caliper brackets for under $200. I don't have a parking brake but this truck will be bagged & laying frame so that was not a concern for me.

I'd prefer just disc, if I did big, I'd have to do the front too haha

Thanks for the links and suggestions, it's greatly appreciated!
