Cool 1969 Manual Trans swap

I am looking for information about upgrading the trans in my pickup. I would like to put a 5 speed manual transmision in place of the 4 speed grany shift in it now. If anyone has information about what transmissions will fit I would like to know.

Thanks, Ben

Re: 1969 Manual Trans swap

The most popular swap is a 5 speed from a S-10 pickup. They are fairly light duty, but you didn't say what size truck you have or engine size. I have put them behind 350 V-8's but you would not want to do burn outs or speed shifts, or do any heavy hauling or towing.

Yah I guess more info would have helped sorry about that. I have a 350 motor but I am goin to put a 327 in it and I am going to try to make it a street rod custom. Do you think the S-10 trany would be the best choice?
