Swapped the carb, question though??
I posted a thread on swapping out my 1407 edelbrock for a 1406 or 1405. I did just that. It solved the off idle stumble problem, as I was running too big of a carb. It definitely runs alot better now, but I'm thinking my 3" dual exhaust is hurting me now. The lower end power is alot better, but the upper end is not what it used to be. Should I drop the 3" and go with 2.5"? I just wanted to give a big shout out to Charles (board member) for swapping me carbs. He was awesome to deal with, told me to try the carb, and if I didn't like it I could just send it back. Thanks Charles you rock!!

Re: Swapped the carb, question though??
Part of it is that you went from a 750 down to a 600. 3" id pretty big anyway but I don't think that is why you are loosing enough top end to feel it though. It's something, more than likely, in the carb/fuel delivery.

Re: Swapped the carb, question though??
I've always found too big of exhaust loses low end torque, not top end.
