Loose Rocker Arm
Pulled the valve covers off my truck's small block for the first time since I bought it and everything was very clean underneath but one rocker arm was a little bit loose and I could jiggle the push rod a little. All the others were not loose. I assume this is NOT normal as there should be zero lash correct? Should I just tighten that one rocker arm up till no more jiggling and then go 1/4 turn more?

I would check a few things before adjusting that rocker arm. 1 make sure the rocker arm stud is not pulling out of the cylinder head 2 make sure the rocker arm ball did not wear through the rocker arm. 3 check make sure the push rod is not bent. If all looks good i would adjust all the rockers according to the cam manufacturer or service manual.

Also I would check for a collapsed tappet.
