brackets

I bought a set of ac brackets on ebay but nothing lines up. I have a 77 350 with power steering and would like to put ac on using ar4 compreeor that I have. Where can I get a diagram and brackets to do this. The motor is in a 79 c10 that has factory air. I took out the olds motor that was in it. Thank you. Metz

what side are you placing the ac?

do you have a picture of the brackets? etc?

and you can always "aircforce check" it where you go to the junkyard with a camera and take pictures of other's and how their crap is mounted..

well as far as i can tell u have all the right brackets...
i (unfortunatley) have cut/modified mine because i removed ac from my truck oso if i sent a pic it wont look right..

Only one of the brackets lines up. I also have shorty headers on from summit sum g9016. I would also like to know if i can switch where the ac is now and put it on the passengers side and put the altenator on the drivers side.

As soon as it stops raining ill take some pics of my 85. Your pulleys are wrong
there for a non air truck. the P/S pulley needs two belt grooves. The crank pulley needs to have three. And the P/S brackets and pump will probably need the be changed to line up with the compressor. you will need spacers and longer bolts on the two front left side header bolts to mount the compresser/ P/S pump bracket. I cant tell how many belt grooves are on the water pump pulley. there needs to be two.

Also 77 used a A-6 Axial compressor. looks like the A-4 metric setup you have is a 82-85 I think theres even a water pump change between the two
on the P/S pump mount.

About the only way to switch sides is to use a complete serpentine setup off a 88-95 pickup. I didnt catch this question earlier.

I added that. I just tried the horse shoe looking bracket and it doesn't go over the header.

crap i diddnt even notice the pulleys
you have the incorrect ones.

now if you look at the PS pump you'll notice the goofy bracket goes up and down... now, simply put it's a pain in the arse! to get this all lined up
now to get the pulley off of your ps resoivoir I reccomend a strong ratchet strap, chain wrench... or a big vise
soak it in some penetration oil and run an impact on that bad boy....

I guess its off to find all the right pieces to this puzzle.Do i need to use stock exhaust manifolds? The ac compressor is off my 350 olds that I took out.Thank for the input.

heres some pics. You can use your headers you will have to make spacers. I already covered this in my earlier post.

u have the bracket
i have cut mine a few times due to impatience...

get it put together and then get a spacer and long bolt =-)
you gotta get creative for that bracket, but fr mine i rigionally torched off and ground smooth the holes for where my header holes are, then i cut it up some more an dit's a pretty simple bracket now... still just as strong (wihtout ac)
just be patient and get creative... goood luck

my bracket hits the header tube and the tube curves there, I will try to get a picture, I need to find a 2 groove ps pulley and a 3 groove crank pulley next. Then add it all up or look for a serpinten setup, things to sleep on.

Its the same bracket. if the header tube is in the way i dont know what to tell you. but buy new headers or manifolds. your trying to use mid 80s a/c brackets on a mid 70s motor with non a/c brackets. make up your mind on what your going to use and stick with it. miss-matching parts will not work.

The place I got the brac brackets from is sending the right one to mouunt the ac. I got a two groove wp pulley and a three groove crank pulley. NOw all I need is the ps brackets and pulley.
