Re: Ol' Blue got a new bed!!!

Thanx guys. She doesnt go out much anymore lil too much $$$$ in shinny stuff under that cowl hood. I bought this truck from the original owner. I have been in love with it since I first saw it at 5 years old. My daughter at age 8 insists it's hers and wants it to be her first car.

Re: Ol' Blue got a new bed!!!

This may be a dumb question but how do you do that? Did you make the flatbed or is it a kit?

Great Looking Flatbed. Isn't amazing how today's youth just love the old trucks. That's awesome, I hope you keep it around long enough for her to drive it. If she (or you, haha) can afford the gas in the next 7-8 years when she starts driving, it'll definitely be on of the strongest and safest trucks on the road. No telling what vehicles will be like then.

Re: Ol' Blue got a new bed!!!

Nice looking truck, it always amazes me some of the old trucks that show up from Oregon and Washington state, makes me want to come back out that way just to see trucks!

Re: Ol' Blue got a new bed!!!

I bought the flat bed from a buddy that had it on a 1965 chevy pickup. His dad had it put on by the dealer in 65. Guys I don't think the 450 HP Big Block will be in Ol'Blue when shelby is 16. Maybe a 250 or 292 straight 6!!!!

Re: Ol' Blue got a new bed!!!

Sorry Rob alot has changed in almost 4 years with ol blue. This truck and I have been through a lot together. LOL Someone local tried to buy it last summer for a lot of $$$$ and I turned them down. Call me crazy. I'm working on putting a fleetside bed back on it.

Looks good with that flatbed but probably worth more with a fleet bed.

...to some, and if you ever decided to sell. But some may prefer the rarity and uniqueness of the factory flatbed over a dime a dozed pickup bed. No matter cuz it sounds like you ain't a sellin' and you're a wantin' a p/u bed. Looks great!

Re: Ol' Blue got a new bed!!!

I'd say it looks strong...not weak at all. GM gave the right width to suit a single wheel. They are as proportionate with single rear as the beds that came on dual rears.
