Question Sensor on steering box?

As I was undoing my front light harness I came across what looks to be a sensor, type plug on the top of the steering box area. Does anyone know what it might be? Is it critical?

Re: Sensor on steering box?

Single wire round connector? Sounds like the brake wire for the brake warning light... it goes on the brake proportioning valve.

Re: Sensor on steering box?

^^^^ i was thinking the same thing check these out...

and that plug on the frame plugs into a single wire that goes into the harness. the round thing on the gear box itself is just an adjustment nut.

Re: Sensor on steering box?

Thanks guys, that is what I was seeing. Was looking at it in a dark garage and a nasty engine compartment. So, I guess I need to hook it back up huh?
