Get this carb on this intake

I have a 1406 square bore Edelbrock Carb that I want to mount onto my stock 350 chevy truck. I installed an Edelbrock 2101 intake- the older model that looks like: What gasket do I use on the intake, under the carb? The open square one or the kind with a divider?
Thanks,
Ed

not should, will seal.

the divider is not neccessary and you are only talking about 1/64 of an inch gap.

what you really need to look out for is if the carb butterflies will clear the divider on the intake.

Re: Get this carb on this intake

if your intake is a spread bore like the one in the pic and the carb is a square bore you will need an adapter

The flange on that manifold is universal. You put the studs in the correct holes and you use the gasket that matches the bottom of you carb. For the carb you want to use, an open square bore gasket will be fine.

So, he doesn't need a square bore spreadbore adaptor? When I have done that swap I have always used one.

No adapter is needed. The manifold is universal as previously stated. Just put the studs in the right holes, drop on the gasket and carb. It will seal fine.
