Prime and block sand
Someone told me before I paint my 72 burb, that it will need prime and block sand. What's he talking about??
Thanks. BTW, you can go over to the 67-72 burb section and see my "new" burb under the heading "My 72 Burb" Thanks, Joe |

Re: Prime and block sand
This means completely clean and sand panels with 180-220 grit dry paper on a block or use 180 or 220 on an orbital sander. Fix minor dents or scratches then prime panels using a 2-k urethane primer. Cover anything around the area you do not want oversprayed and then apply 3-4 good coats. Follow by misting black spray paint on the panels. This highlights the panels so you can see the imperfections if any. Reprime if needed. If you plan to paint at a later date get vto the primer and do not finish sand until you are ready for paint.
