Where is....

the rpo sticker for a '84 C10 Scottsdale? I thought it would be in the glove box like my '85 Silverado but there wasn't one in there. Not even an adhesive outline like if the sticker was pulled off.

The reason I ask is the '84 I just picked up was a one owner and on the title the miles for when it was titled is 17. She's got 104k now but she's quite stout and only does a little puff of blue when starting the first time in the morning. She has a lot of grunt for a 305(?) and I was hoping to make sure it was a 305 before purchasing anything for it.

Anywho's....where else would the RPO sticker be or did it just not come with one? What would the VIN # be for the 305 or 350?Thanks in advance.

Maybe he replaced the glove box for some reason and didn't replace the RPO sticker. For the RPO codes, look at Swervin's site. He has the VIN identifier at http://www.73-87.com/7387stuff/8187vin.htm

rpo codes

My sticker is on the driver side front fender well under the hood as well, but about 1/3 peeled up.

Well, guess I was wrong on that one. Don't have much experience with the '81 plus models.

My 75, both 86's and 87 are in the glove box, my 84 is on the fenderwell. I think it has more to do with the plant where my truck was built than the year. (I don't remember where, but I know my 84 was built in Canada, the rest are from US)

ok...went and looked....no rpo sticker....could of been one but it looks like it was tore off....but i noticed the emissions sticker on the rad support....says DKK (i think) 6.2L....but the Vin is H that means 305 V8....so i'm guessing they switched the rad support at some time....cause the gas gauge say's unleaded....so i'm guessing the rad support rotted out some time in it's life and replaced it.
