Is my suspension crap?

I'm bringing my truck to a shop to have some mods done and they suggested I get a new frame and said my suspension will ride like total crap as it's old school tech.
I didnt know that when It was done origionally so my question is this; should i just scrap or sell this frame and get a new frame for $8500 with new suspension components? I'm not worried about the costs, I just want to know if the origional frame is worth saving or improving with a dropmember or whatever?

If you need the best there is out there, I say spend the money.

Sounds like you'll never be satisfied with this set up now.

Re: Is my suspension crap?

What exactly are you looking to do with the vehicle? Just a cruiser or something more? I'd only look at throwing $8,500 at the frame if I was looking for a serious cornering machine. Sounds to me these guys are just trying to make you feel you need their frame to have the latest and greatest. Think it through and if you do have that need and can afford it, than go for it, but if it doesn't really gain you much over your existing setup, I'd stick with what you have.

My first thought after reading the post was to say, "time to find a new shop".
