Or jack up one side of rear axle and try to turn it ( with e-brake off , in nutral and front tires scotched.......

I´m thinking of BCOWANWHEEL idea because I´m goimg to look in a junk yard and trucks are already lifted over rims stack another question is: if I turn the wheels and both turn ahead ? but I was thinking if some rears it comes with a label that can describe if is or is not. apologize for kindergarden question I do.

Non-posi open rear end, if the drive shaft does not turn, and you spin one wheel, the other wheel will turn the opposite direction. Labels, tags, stamping on the housings can be hard to find and read and decode, easiest to do the manual check.

An original posi also has a different fill plug in the housing. It uses the square part of a rachet to remove and it is larger in outer diameter to retain the red tag about posi additive.
