Re: hood tach?
just buy a repro for a 69/camaro trans am, and graft it in, I think some of the buick gs's might have had them too...
that is , if they do repro them... I would try "hood tach" on an ebay search, and then search the buy it nows, to se what styles, if any are being reproduced. |

Re: hood tach?
I believe the late 60's early 70's GTO's and Firebirds had them as well. But those might be $$.

Re: hood tach?
for the budget hotrodder I've seen different size pipe used. electrical conduit comes in many diameters. pvc is available almost any size. some custom boats use what appears to be custom bent pipes. kinda 90's out of the hood/bow. cool look.

Re: hood tach?
The Paddock , Year One , etc. Have repop's .. 1966-72 GTO , 70-72 GS , 67-72 Firebird or maybe newer .. Usually come with a mounting template , wiring diag. etc .. and drill 3-5 small mounting holes and one with a hole saw . about 1/2 inch or so .. Set to go , lighted for night driving , come with a mounting seal .. Paint to match ..

Re: hood tach?
What I think would be cool is to mount it to the engine, and cut a hole in the hood and make it like a "Shaker" Tach with a halo shift light.
