Re: Render me this, render me that...

I'm going to be putting this together as time and money permit. Sometime after the first of the year I'm swapping the motor for a GMPP 350/290hp motor with Edelbrock induction and headers. I'm also looking into some sort of aftermarket fuel injection. Everything wil be smog legal when it's done.

Suspension (as rendered) is a C6 front end with shockwaves and an ART Air Bar like Ken just finished installing on his truck.

Wheels and tires are Billet Specialties "Legacy" wheels measuring 20x9 and 20x10. OEM Z06 brakes will bring everything to a quick stop.

Body mods are simple and subtle; I'm shaving the buldge in the center of the hood, giving it a smooth, clean, factory appearance. The cab seem will be filled and the cargo light will do a dissappearing act. The bumpers will be shaved of their bolts and the rear bumper is going to recieve a chop job, making it just slightly lower than the rocker panel at the rear of the bed. ~2" will be scetioned from either side that surrounds the license plate. Again, subtle, simple, and factory appearing.

I'v also drawn up plans for a completely new interior including bucket seats, a console, and new amps, all trimmed in leather.

Anything I can find NOS will be replaced.

This is obviously going to take a while, so one step at a time yea?

That is going to be sick. I love trucks that look factory other than a major altitude adjustment and big wheels.

Re: Render me this, render me that...

I got the idea for the hood from my buddy Kurt Grimes who's '07 Silvrado was on the cover of Truckin' in January (I think). He sectioned his hood, making it a blank canvas for his awesome airbrushing skills. It's something so simple and so clean and it has a realy big, overall effect on the lok of the panel.

Some of you guys remember that I was involved in a little hit/run, so the rear bumper is being done as soon as Seth (Twisted Minis) has some time available at his shop.

Re: Render me this, render me that...

Robbie @ Keg Media did it for me. He's realy good about making sure you get what you are looking for and I didn't have to provide him with a whole lot of product information. Give the guys at Keg Media a call. They can deliver what you want in a timely fashion at a great price.

I have been kicking around that same idea. When I shaved my cowl panel I noticed that the ridge in the hood didn't carry back to the cowl panel and thought about either adding the ridge to the cowl or removing it from the hood. Do your hood first so I can see how it comes out
