power brake booster
i recently bought a 69 c10 with power brakes, but the power booster looks like its missing the rod the pushes the master cylinder piston in. my question is what years will fit this truck, ex: 1969-? ? im on a budget build so i will probably get it from junkyard.

Re: power brake booster
Welcome... from Texas.
Here's a bump to the top for you to see if someone has more info. If it's the original booster 67-72 would work. Problem is that you have to remember these trucks are 40+ years old and lots of mechanics have made changes including adding power brakes when they didn't have them before. Some have installed boosters from different year trucks and even cars. I would google as much info as you can to find out what you have and then go to a junkyard to see if you can find one that will work. There's a junkyard over here that has a special back room full of pumps, boosters, and other assorted stuff so you may have to ask to see if they have parts you can take off an old one. They may require you to buy the whole asm. You can also check on ebay. |
