air filter

I recently drove my truck from Boise to Ely And back again. Its About 300 miles each way. On both trips my new air filter got so cloged I had to take it out to finish the drive. I was hoping someone would have an idea what was causing this. It's a 1968 GMC with a 250.

Re: air filter

I have a 250 in a '67 C-10 and so far have not had the problem you are having.

Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Do you have a picture of the air cleaner setup you have and a clogged filter?

Re: air filter

I agree that something doesn't add up...your filter should not be getting clogged up that fast. Like LHM asked...what material is clogging up your filter? Pics?

Re: air filter

If this is a guessing game I will say a Ford got in his way.
