700r4 package on ebay

I am selling my 700r4 that I planned on putting in a custom truck I am building. I have decided to go manual. I have a lot of time and money invested in this setup, so hopefully somebody will get a good deal.

To start off, the tranny is the more desirable later year 700r4 which came out of an early 90's caprice. It is has been completely rebuilt and has no miles on it since the rebuild. It has just been sitting in my rolling chassis. It has been epoxy primed and topcoated with a gloss black urethane.

Next is the Torque Converter. Its a BDR converter which is a custom builder of converters, ie made to order. It has a stall speed of 2400/2800.

Next is a TCI Flexplate part # 399773. Last are some items from Bowtie Overdrives. I purchased their Lockup wiring kit.
Here is the link: http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/cata...php?ITEMID=332

I also purchased their TV Made Ez system.
Here is the link: http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/cata...php?ITEMID=214

All these items are new, never been used. What you see in the pictures is how its sat since purchased. The stock dipstick is also included as are ARP fasteners to connect the flexplate to the TC. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will try to answer. Asking $950 for everything.

Re: 700r4 package on ebay

I've bought the bag brackets Jlaird sells on ebay and just recently bought his frame mounted brake bracket and some air bag fittings. Shipped it all fast and packaged well. Nice guy to do business with!

Re: 700r4 package on ebay

I'm really interested in this setup. Do you think it will hold 630 HP/650 TQ? I've got a 383 with a supercharger. Any ideas on shipping to 32571? Let me know.

I'm not sure about the clutches and servos. I bought this trans about a year ago from somebody that was going to put it into a chevelle project. He had it rebuilt at a transmission shop. All I can remember is he said they did put upgraded parts in (I don't know what brand), a shift kit was put in it (B&M) and he spent around $1000 for the rebuild. I personally put new wiring in it and a Throttle Valve adjuster kit both of which came from the Bowtie Overdrive kits I purchased.

I would say this trans is good for any SBC, but with a supercharger is questionable. If you can assist me on how to go about shipping this, I would be willing to.

Re: 700r4 package on ebay

Is a lockup or non lockup?

27 or 30 spline?

Did you buy the stall or did it come with purchase from the previous owner?

Thanks,
Simon

Its a lockup. Look at the first post for a link to the lockup wiring kit I purchased. Its a 30 spline input, 27 spline output. I bought everything new from the manufacturer except the trans itself. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Josh

Not gonna lie, i dont have a clue what all goes along with one of these trannys. i do know that i have wanted one ever since i changed the 4 speed to an auto turbo 350 in my truck. How much extra is needed if i bought this and had to put it in. im on a serious budget. lol Thanks

Re: 700r4 package on ebay

since you currently have an automatic, not too much. Your th350 crossmember will work with the 700r4. Do you have a long or short tailshaft on your turbo 350? If a short, your driveshaft should bolt right up. Do you have column or floor shift?
