Engine Swap - truck will not shut off

so i just finished up my first ever engine swap yesterday and started it for the first time!! very exciting - everything went well - except i went to shut the truck off and nothing happened it kept running...

the switch worked fine before - it still could be bad i know!

- but im wondering if it is related to my alternator upgrade.

i switched to an internally regulated one from a newer truck and got the kit from lmc to connect it. it was just a 4 inch cable with the 2 correct plastic plugs to switch it - and a terminator block for the connection to the old regulator.

anyone else seen this problem? or probably just bad switch?
