Re: Rare truck!

Why is this rare? No, honestly...in SoCal it isn't THAT rare. Given that anything from 1960 is getting harder and harder to find in ANY condition and a truck that was a work verhicle, all the more so.

I like the truck but $4000? I don't think so. Out here, in the Central Valley? That truck would have an asking price of maybe $2500 highest and go as low as $1500.

Re: Rare truck!

i had my 63 since i was 14 im 25 now, and as we all know when you have this era of truck you look and notice other ones, and yet still i have only seen 2 or three short fleet big back window trucks, thats all i meant by that, its more rare than you average not very interesting 2wd 3/4 long bed small back window truck that you see 98 times out of 100. I do agreee 4k is a little on the high side!

Don't knock the 2wd 3/4 long bed small back window trucks man. I've always prefered the big common heavy's to the c10 short fleet big windows. It's a personal preference I suppose. 4K is way overpriced $2000. is the most I'd pay.

Re: Rare truck!

Sorry you feel that way, Arizonak5. I was simply being honest. Your assessment that the price was "a little high" simply wasn't accurate for what's shown. We love seeing old stuff, but try to understand we review a butt-load of C/L offers and some are simply looney.

Mac.

Mac.

high i can see but that price was not looney, i dont know what part of the country your in but here in az these trucks have been getting baught up so quick its rediculous, so prices are going up! I posted my 63 short fleet roller for 700 and had 22 phone calls with in 6 hours, that truck would fetch four, but it would take a while! plus how can you judge a truck by a couple pictures?!?!?! that can be said for both sides!, could be a bucket, could be the most intact truck you have seen thus far!

You might let this kind of experience be your guide regarding "could be the most intact truck you have seen thus far!" Sinking in the mud with roof rot at the corner big enough to stick my hand in (?), this ain't no prize.

Yep - my truck does rattle, but when I drive it - I don't have to file an EPA report for leaving piles of rust wherever I park.

Re: Rare truck!

My apologies also, meant nothing bad by what i replied. True it is rare. I have never seen a '60 chev short fleet big window in Ontario. I bet there are only a handful in the province, something like that would sell very quick for that price here. What I meant was it's rare just to see a 60-66 on the road up here. Nice truck wish it was closer I would check it out. Thanks for posting.

I know where there's a '64 also......in my shop......but you won't get it for $2000 or even $4000 for that matter.

Trucks like this (64-66's) are all over the place but how often do you see the CC trim on a 60-61 let alone in a shortbox BBW. Actually, mine IS rare. It's suffering an identity crisis, Chevrolet when it's comin' and GMC when it's goin'. That's to fool witnesses when leaving the scene of a crime

If you really want to fool witness', make this your license plate #: WVWVVWV

Works everytime.

Beautiful truck by the way. Love the mags.
