Anyone using 3rd Gen Camaro front sway bar???
I was wondering if anyone has used a 3rd Generation Camaro front sway bar on their truck?
Did you have to modify the bar to fit???? If so, what did you modify? Have any pictures of what you did?? Please post them if you could. Thanks alot guys. CHRIS

All I have to say is 'Why?' when the bars that fit no problem are so plentiful...IIRC, pretty much anything '67-'87.

The reasons are very simple.
1. I already have this bar, aka FREE. 2. This bar is MUCH larger than the stock CST bar that you can get. This bar I have actually came off a 1 ton truck that a friend of mine had on his 88 IROC 3. CST sway bars aren't all that 'plentiful' are they? Kind of like the overload leafs on some of the CSTs. I cant find those brackets anywhere. thanks again CHRIS

1. Doesn't have to be off of a CST. Any sway bar on any 1/2 ton (and maybe 3/4 but I don't know) made from '67 to '87 will work...
2. Eh? So it's a truck bar anyway? If it hasn't been modded, all you need are the brackets and it should bolt up...

If it was off of an IROC and then installed on a truck and he wants to put it on his truck...well, I don't know. In that case, I'd sell the bar and go grab a truck bar.

Hey guys,
One of you was right. It first was on a 1 ton flatbed truck (stock), then my friend took it off the truck and installed it on his 88 IROC-Z Camaro. That car was basically totalled so he parted it out. That is how I acquired the bar. He said the 1 ton truck was an 88+ truck. So I may just keep this one or trade it or sell it or something and get a stock 1 ton bar off a 67-87 truck. Would that be wiser than tring to make this one work? How much am I looking at for one of those bars from 67-87? thanks CHRIS
