Re: My 1/4 mile times
whats your set up I would think that it would run better than 90 mph @ 14.80
seems that it pulls hard in the 1/8 but leans over on the top end?? what are you using for exhaust and carb |

Re: My 1/4 mile times
the truck has stock suspension, a 750 holley and 3 inch exhaust with delta force flow master. a buddy of mine said it was the fuel lines the po has it ran in 5/16th line so he told me to run -08 lines for more than plenty fuel. he said it is nosing over way to soon. he has run that 1/4 for every when i went to tec he got mad at me for not having a helmet he said " you will run once and be done" because he thought i would run faster than a 14.00

Re: My 1/4 mile times
i wouldnt run the truck very hard with 5/16 line. you are going to go extremely lean on the top. you need at least a 3/8's line and thats kinda small for a 502. -8 line would probably be the best way to go though not the cheapest. you could always run aluminum tubing its a ton cheaper and not too hard to run.

Re: My 1/4 mile times
that's a lot of stuff..
if you go though summit it can be real cheap i did -8 in my car, with a new fuel pump and a log for my carb it was under 200.

Re: My 1/4 mile times
not sure what he line is coming out of the tank but converting to an eltric pump with a lug before the carb would help alot....I would run 8/10 psi for daily driving then bump it up to 10/12 for the hot laps..then if you ever want to add a wet system your half way done
I'm not sure that 750 is enough I would need to find the flow rate for your heads??? we have a 429 with headers and the 750 isn't enough above 5500...also we stack 2 air filters so we get the flow though them....the equal amounts of air in/out is how you make power then jet accorddingly |

Re: My 1/4 mile times
I don't think it's really laying over on the top.. I use this equation and it's normally fairly close. The lower nummber is better suited for a truck being they tend to be high drag and big.
1/8 mile mph * 1.22-1.25.. So: 73mph * 1.22 = 89.06 73mph * 1.23 = 89.79 73mph * 1.24 = 90.52 73mph * 1.25 = 91.25

Re: My 1/4 mile times
you have a fuel pressure gauge?
What are some of the other specs on the motor? The numbers do seem weak, but really depends on the rest of the motor.

Re: My 1/4 mile times
I have the same heads you have with alot of work done to them and they flow pretty good. It looks like to me your motor needs a turbo!!!!

Re: My 1/4 mile times
It's a simple multiplier I have found that seems to be fairly close.. Take 69trk's sig numbers for instance. His 1/4mph is 115.81 and his 1/8mph is 95.18mpmh.
115.81/95.18=1.2167 Here are a few other examples. Mine with the converter unlocked:110/90=1.2222 Reagan:151/123=1.2276 Big Jim: 141.4/116.7=1.2116

Re: My 1/4 mile times
By my math your 1/4 mph should be closer to 127.03na and 144.75. This is only a difference of 1.20mph NA and 2.17mph on the unit.
Perhaps your converter isn't all that efficiant? Brakes draging? Drag Coef is worse than us some how.. The top of your bed is skinned right? Perhaps that is causing air moving under the vehicled to build up back there? Does your gate go down? Put id down next time for a back to back comparo.. But these are just thoughts.. No factual info to support.
