Gas cap ?
Hey guys..
On my '69 blazer I have a couple of fuel concerns.. #1 - I am searching for a chrome fuel cap.. it has a very ugle metal one on it now with tabs that stand up for you fingers to turn it. I am suprised that Stant doesnt show one... #2 - I think I want a vented cap because when I open the fuel cap it blows ALOT of fumes/air out at me. The truck has a plastic tank in the O.E. location, I noticed that on the top of the tank there is a small hose about 5/16 or so, plugged with a bolt... I am wanting to vent this thing I think ? Any brilliant ideas ? Jeff |

Re: Gas cap ?
Any vendor should have a chrome fuel cap.
Do you still have your stock vent tube? It's inside the Blazer tub right next to the fuel filler tube. If it's still there you will want to hook your vent hose up to it. If it's not there, I am sure you can find one here on the board from someone that is parting out a Blazer. Edit: After posting I thought that I may just have one of these in the garage. Sure enough, I did find one hiding out. Here is a picture. It has three lines going off it. I am sure one is from the fuel tank, one probably goes to the charcoal canister, not sure about the third. Maybe the third is a return from the charcoal canister????

Re: Gas cap ?
As described above, you should have a vent tube on the inside of the bedside.
If your building pressure, something's wrong. |
