What the heck is this??

Hope I don't get in trouble because of the Title!!

I've been a member on this site for 6-8 months, I came across this sub-section yesterday and thought "what the hell is this"? I first thought it might be the kids building a model while their dad worked in the garage. Then I started looking at some of the post. There is stuff on here that I never knew existed! Model 18 wheelers that sell for $6,000? Then I went and looked it up and sure enough, $6k+ and some going for $8 to $10 K! Some of you have collections in the $$$$. I'm building the wrong kind of vehicle.

I've built a ton of models when I was a kid. All the old models we blew up as kids, or melted the fenders to look like they just came back from a derby. Just imagine if we'd left them in the box what they would be worth today?

Well I find myself tonight searching for a '63 C10 Step side model. The only one I've found so far, that is even in the same range, is the '65 by Revell. http://www.revell.com/catalog/products/85-7210.html

Re: What the heck is this??

There is a lot of us who like these smaller versions of real cars so much to the point that we spend as much money and time in them as our real rides.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: What the heck is this??

I use to build model cars too most of them i would use 3 or more and make one really nice one.But look around you can buy almost any part for a real car or truck for a model from steering wheels to big rims and real looking disc etc etc your wallet is the limit.
