Brought it Home Today

One owner. I have the original bill of sale! It isn't perfect but it's about as unmolested a 37 year old truck you'll ever find and I found it 20 miles from my house. The guy bought it here in Waco, TX in 1971.

A minor touch o'patina. I'd keep it as you found it, clean up the engine and make it run good, then drive it.....safely.

That's my goal. 100% mechanically sound. Fix what's broke and that's it. I have a resto project already. This is a DD

No, where is Tracy's? There's two down on Franklin at Steve's Auto that they want ridiculously too much much money for. This one was out on Gholson.

Great find....looks like my survivor! Strange that most survivor trucks seem to be ochre/white 2 tone.

Re: Brought it Home Today

I love the dealer installed badge on the cowl. Seems like a lot of TX truck dealers did that.
Is the rear bumper dealer marked also?
Sweet find.

Yes it has the dealer bumper on it too. Its says "Steakley Bros Chev, Waco TX" Some folks like those. I'm not very fond of it though so it may come off.

I'll get some. The inside is pretty tore up. It's going to need a seat cover, a dash pad and a steering wheel at least. Anybody have a good bottom seat cushion and a Saddle colored cover for sale?

Re: Brought it Home Today

The drivers side mirror is 6 5/8 from the front of the mirror mount to the front of the door and the passengers is 7 5/8. Hope that helps.
