AD truck action
I found this thread on another forum and thought I'd share it here with you guy's. The guy holding the action is a very cool guy. I sold him my 53 frame when I did my swap. He's been collecting parts for years. I hope to be there with my trailer and my wife's permission to buy something. I don't think he's selling all his stash, but making room for more. Keep him in mind if you need parts later down the road. As he always has a bunch of good stuff.
It's in Bakersfield Ca. about 125 miles north of LA. http://tristateauction.com/auction_detail.php?id=119509

Re: AD truck action
When he came by to pick up my old 53 frame he said he had a few old trucks that he saved from the tin crusher. He went on to tell me that he tries to save all the old stuff he can ford, Chevy, ect. so other people can use them. He lives just outside of town and had them in his back yard. He said someone had complained to the city about them so he was looking for some commercial property to store them. I had no idea he had so many trucks. He owns a small rod shop and does some good work. He's really a very cool honest guy and knows his stuff. I've seen him around and hung out with him at car shows and I have a lot of respect for the guy. He's just one of those down to earth, positive old school truck guy's. I'm really hoping to be there for the auction and BBQ and just hang out. I'm not to sure I'll have my GMC because the wife can't drive stick. If I get sick were screwed...LOL
