Lug nut, and wheels stud question.
I picked up a set of 04' alloy wheels for my 88 k30 Single rear truck. They bolted up just fine using my stock lug nuts. Of course the center caps need the 04' lug nuts to work, well I didn't get those. My questions is, are the threads on my 88', and the threads on the studs on the 04' the same thread? If so I would like to find late model lug nuts so I can put the center caps on. Let me know if the newer lugs will work on my 88', thanks.

Re: Lug nut, and wheels stud question.
Drag. I did mine just like you are. Mine is an 84 though and I had to get special nuts for it. I don't remember if 88 is metric or not. I would call Chevy and see if 88 & 04 threads are the same or just pick an 04 nut up and try it. I don't remember who I got the nuts from. If your 4WD, take a 3.5 " hole saw and cut out the center of 2 caps, fits like a glove. jim

Little stuff left to do is mount winch, wet sand & buff out and build belly pan\running boards. Body work takes lots and LOTS of beer!!!! The worst thing you could do is get into my sights, but that don't matter, you'll never know it, cause you'll never hear the shotJim or Paladin whichever you choose. |
