Re: 1960 k-20 shocks

Are you saying the place or places you tried don`t list parts back that far?Did you try any off road shops or mail order places?they should be the same part through`68.Is it a stock application you`re looking for?All you really need is the length from mount to mount and what size (diameter) bolt they mount with for the proper shock eye bushings.Any competent shop should find shocks with that info if they don`t know their trucks.I think 62 was saying he told him what his vehicle was and they cross referenced them to a shock that was listed in the same dimensions.

Re: 1960 k-20 shocks

Thats just it gave meauserments to people at napa and no help. advance auto, carquest. They want it to be easy and look by application on computer instead of looking for a shock that fits the meaurements i gave them its called lazy.

Re: 1960 k-20 shocks

I can ask my Napa guys. They`ve gotten me lots of parts others have had trouble getting their lame`o parts guys to find.Did they walk away from the computer and pull a book out/Not every possible part is programmed into the computer.I bet it`s the same application as a`72.Give your info and I`ll give it a shot.Wouldn`t you love to walk in there and ask or them again, like you never did before, let them try again, tell you n/a,and you hand them the numbers and say,"Then just get me there"?

Re: 1960 k-20 shocks

That`s correct. The 1/2 and 3/4Ts use the same shocks.I`ll all but guarantee that pert number is a `72 number. Are these original quality stock height shocks?

Re: 1960 k-20 shocks

60-62 has the hydro clutch, i never could find a replacement. Look in the phone book for a place that makes hydrolic hoses, that would be your best bet.
