ok so my local junkyard has a website where i can check there inventory and they dont have a front right brake caliper for my truck cuz its a 4x4 but they have a few off of a 2wd truck...so will this work?

ok i go to pic up of my new caliper tomorrow from advance but in the mean time here is my new and old rotor btw ive never seen a rotor this bad before

and now the new one

the difference between junkyard and reman is not that big and not worth the chance of getting one just like you have

these guys are right a cheapo one remanufactured should be right about $20 plus your core.. is it really worth messing with used for that??

auto zone shows a rebuilt for 13.00 bucks 1/2 ton 4x4

OMG!!!!!!!! and you where driving with it like that.wow never seen it that worn down. did you spray some brakeclean on the new rotor to get the protive coating off?

yea rub it off good or your pads will glaze over.

thing is all wiped down and i am still amazed how worn down that thing is

Looks like the caliper is stuck and not floating as it should . That would be why the inside is worn away . The caliper sticks and the only real movement is the caliper piston . Check it real good and make sure it floats .

Now ,
What has it sounded like when the brakes were applied and did you notice the grinding resonating through the brake pedal ? Seems like it would be real bad .
Looks like you are headed in the right direction with the new parts .

no, it looks like the owner continued to drive on them knowing that they were bad.
