Re: laugh if you want to

it can`t be that bad.The redy mix is tough stuff and the new restoration series has got to be better. For those who don`t know,TSC now sells paint you mix hardener with.not too sure about the muffler. How cheap was it to make you go that route?

Re: laugh if you want to

Let us know how it turns out. I was Looking at the same paint for a little Toyota car I was trying to turn around and sell, because I had replaced the front clip and wanted it all to match I was thinking of going with the white though just because its neutral. My Grandpa painted an old Ford pickup he had on the farm Oliver Green and it came out nice, but he had a way of making anything work.

Re: laugh if you want to

I'm definitley interested in hearing what the IH mufflers sound like. I've considered them everytime I wander into Fleet Farm.

Also, the Valspar paint is the only paint I've had experience with. Painted the roof of my old dailydriver, when it started to flake. And also painted my '69 with Oliver green and gloss white. All in all, it's holding up great. I shoulda done better prep work with my primer and bondo. But ya know what, it was under 100 bucks, and it got it looking pretty sharp.

Re: laugh if you want to

I painted my jeep years ago with international red. And now i am painting my 69 with GMC with ace rust stop paint (safty Orange) it's a pretty close match to the original orange color. have fun and enjoy your truck

Do those mufflers flow straight through like a glass pack?

Re: laugh if you want to

Years ago I was helping a friend fix up a 83 swb on the cheap, and I mean CHEAP! Long story short, we ended up painting it with Napa brand industrial safety blue. Painted the whole truck for less than $100. It turned out pretty good considering the circumstances. Every time I think about that truck I wish I had taken photos of it..
